At Michael Whitney Piano Workshop I specialise in Piano Restoration's and Tuning of all types of piano's ranging from the early 20th century classic's to the modern day masterpieces. I also have a range of selected restored Piano's for sale.
I am a second generation piano technician with over fifteen years experience. I obtained my restoration and French Polishing skill's from my father Keith of Whitney Piano's which he has mastered since undertaking his apprenticeship in England in 1954.
I continued my training at Northen Metropolitan Tafe in Preston in 1996 where I learnt my Piano Tuning, Regulating and Voicing Skills.
I have continued my training by being invited by Yamaha and Kawai to complete short course to refine my regulation and voicing skill's at their head offices.
I recently obtained a higher level in the Victorian Piano Tuner's and Technician's Guild as an A.R.P.T- Australasian registered Piano Technician.
